Dear Parents and Guardians of the Torrington High School Class of 2026,

The moment your students have been working toward is approaching fast. On Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., we will proudly begin the Class of 2026 graduation procession at the Warner Theatre. This ceremony marks a significant achievement, and we appreciate your support in helping us preserve the dignity and importance of this special occasion.

Cap & Gown Orders

To participate in the ceremony, all students must order the complete graduation ensemble—cap, gown, stole, and tassel—by April 1, 2026. The ordering link will become available on January 5, 2026, on the THS homepage, or your Google Classroom. Please note that the ordering portal will close after April 1, 2026.

Arrival Time

Graduates must arrive at the Warner Theatre by 5:15 p.m. Students who are not checked in and in line at that time will be marked as a “no-show” and will not have their name announced during the ceremony.

Graduate Expectations

• Graduation is a formal event; students are expected to conduct themselves with maturity and respect.

• Appropriate attire is required.

• Gowns may not be altered; caps may be decorated, provided designs are appropriate and in good taste.

• Food, beverages, gum, balloons, silly string, and similar items are not permitted inside the theatre.

• Cell phones may not be used by graduates during the ceremony.

Please remember that while all students who meet graduation requirements will receive a diploma, participation in the ceremony is a privilege. Inappropriate behavior before or during the event may result in removal. Additionally, all school property must be returned, and any outstanding obligations—including technology or library fines, lost items, team uniforms, and cafeteria charges—must be resolved before tickets are issued.

Rehearsal

A mandatory graduation rehearsal will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. The rehearsal will take place in the THS Gymnasium. The number of tickets each student will receive is still to be determined and will be communicated once finalized. All student regalia will be delivered to Torrington High School and will be distributed during the rehearsal.

Graduation is a cherished tradition for our students, their families, and our school community. We look forward to celebrating this milestone together with pride, joy, and heartfelt appreciation.
